TOKYO

Boarding, overnight on board. Welcome at the airport, transfer to the hotel, check-in. Here we are, in the heart of Tokyo. For the remaining time of the day, we let ourselves be overwhelmed, with curiosity, by the bustling life of the Tokyoites. The popular district of Asakusa and its Sensoji Temple will immerse us in the popular Japan.

TAHARA

This morning, we saddle up for Mount Fuji and exceptional views if the weather conditions are in our favor. The slopes of the eternal volcano and the crossing of the tea fields leave a lasting impression of fabulous memories. We continue our journey along the Sugura Bay towards Shizuoka. This city represents the central hub of the Sencha tea market in Japan. We arrive at our destination on the Atsumi Peninsula by the end of the day.

KOYA SAN

Terraced rice fields and, above all, beautiful roads lead us to our arrival at Koya San. This sacred place and cradle of Shingon Buddhism is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is home to nearly 120 temples and monasteries as well as a vast forest of ancient cryptomeria trees. It houses the Okuno-in, a cemetery with over 200,000 tombstones of samurai, dignitaries, and ordinary people. Our day will end in a Shukubo with the monks, where we will share a dinner according to their rites and traditions.

KYOTO

Departure for what was in the 12th century the cradle of Ninjutsu. We will stop for lunch near Uji. This small town is home to another great symbol in Japan, the Byodo-In. It is a Buddhist temple from the 11th century listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The day will end in the heart of beautiful Kyoto to enjoy Japanese hospitality and its culinary wonders.

GIFU

We will leave Kyoto heading towards Lake Biwa and its shores. Our destination is Hikone and its castle. Built during the Edo period between 1603 and 1622, it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and represents a strong symbol of the Japanese feudal system. We will visit the castle, its museum, and have lunch. Then, we continue our journey towards Mount Ibuki and its winding roads. We will arrive in Gifu by late afternoon, a city known in Japan for cormorant fishing.

KAWAGOE

200 km - 4h15

On our final day, we will ride towards KosuFarm through beautiful mountain roads, eventually arriving in Tomioka. This small town is home to a historic silk mill and silk culture center. It symbolizes the beginning of Japan’s industrialization and was the result of collaboration between France and Japan in the late 19th century. Today, the silk mill is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will explore and take a guided tour. Then, we will return to the outskirts of Tokyo by nightfall.

TOKYO

80 km - 1h30

Motorcycle returns will take place in the morning. A metro pass will be provided for you to freely explore the capital and its famous districts such as the incredible Shibuya, where the crowds are astonishing, Shinjuku, a hub of skyscrapers, Harajuku, the temple of fashion and Japanese youth, Kagurazaka with its French quarter, and many other places depending on your desires. For our final dinner, we will board a yakatabune for a 3-hour cruise along Tokyo Bay. Departure for Paris at the end of the day 14.
