Southern African Colors

Presentation and highlights

South Africa beckons us with its long road to freedom, but it also attracts us for its coastal regions. With an intense colonial history, this country is now a true cultural, musical, and even gustatory melting pot where the expression of colors and joy is above all an art of living. The welcome is undeniably warm, the landscapes grandiose, and there is no doubt that you will return from this journey to the end of the world and its many facets, your suitcases filled with emotions.

  • Two 'BIG 5' safaris in a private reserve
  • Exceptional spots every day
  • The South African good vibes
  • The Cape of Good Hope Peninsula
  • The Wine Route and its stately homes
  • The Bo-Kaap district in Cape Town
  • A breathtaking view of False Bay
  • The incredible Chapman's Peak Drive

Day 11
Day 13
DAY 3 –
Worcester
100km
 – 3h45
Taking care of the motorcycles. Along the scenic route, we head to our first stop to see the intriguing Afrikaans Language Monument. Inaugurated in 1975, it is the only monument in the world dedicated to a language. After lunch, we explore the first stretches of vineyards growing on the hillsides of Worcester. Vineyards, vineyards, and more vineyards... Perhaps a little wine tasting just before we arrive at the accommodation?
DAY 5 –
Oudtshoorm
280km
 – 4h25
We start the day with a visit to a modest museum in size but immense in the treasures it holds. Classified as a national heritage site, its contents represent a tiny fraction of the legacy of the former Dutch East India Company, a symbol of the power of Dutch capitalism and imperialism. Lunch with local flavors before our encounter with the "volstruis," better known as the ostrich.
DAY 7 –
Addo
260km
 – 3h30
We cross vast plains to the east of the Little Karoo. In the heart of the savanna, we have our lunch, after which we embark with the rangers for a safari in the Addo Elephants National Park. As part of the species protection program since 1931, this park has the highest concentration of elephants in the world. It also houses other wild animals such as buffaloes, antelopes, lions, and more.
DAY 9 –
Knysna
A relaxing day in this seaside town where, during a previous football World Cup, our players had a little whim. We explore the beautiful natural environment freely during this day. Between dolphins, art, shopping, the marina, a motorcycle museum, ... our choice is vast. Lounging by the pool is also another possible option.
DAY 11 –
HERMANUS
250km
 – 4h00
Wake up at dawn, departure for the second 4x4 safari in this 54,000-hectare park. Return to the lodge around 9 a.m. for breakfast. Despite ourselves, we get back on the road heading south, through the plains of the Little Karoo before arriving in Hermanus in the late afternoon. This lovely little seaside resort is known as the kingdom of whales during the southern winter. We can also take some rest or head to the heights of the Fernkloof Nature Reserve which overlooks the town.
DAY 13 –
CAPE TOWN
210km
 – 5h00
Like a dessert, it is customary to save the best for last. Under the seemingly unassuming names of Muizenberg, Noordhoek, St. James, Fish Hoek, Ilandudno, Hout Bay, intense and exhilarating spectacles await to be discovered throughout this magnificent day. And let's not forget about three must-see stops: Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point, and especially the Chapman's Peak Drive, a coastal road used for advertising by car manufacturers. We'll conclude our journey with a final panoramic view from the heights of the Cape over the city.
