Hello Quebec

Presentation and highlights

On an air with familiar tones, in the heart of a vast land of welcome, set course for natural spaces. Mauricie, Laurentides, Lanaudière, Gaspésie, Appalaches are among the most beautiful national parks, both terrestrial and maritime, in Quebec. In the shadow of Amerindian memories, among the wildlife, and far from the social hierarchy where familiarity and tolerance are ways of life, let yourself be surprised by the most beautiful symbols of our North American cousins. And what if we talked about it on the “grosse dent”?

  • The French vastness American-style
  • An unsuspected Amerindian heritage
  • A meeting with whales, optional
  • The Acadian festivities in Caraquet
  • Old Quebec City and its cobblestone streets
  • Authentic nature and landscapes
  • Resonances and Quebecois expressions
  • The wonderful lighthouse route

DAY 2 –
Mont Tremblant
255km
 – 4h00
Bikes check in. We enjoy our first rides with Quebecois flavors. They lead us to the world's largest wooden chalet for our first local lunch. Heading towards Mont Tremblant, within the Laurentians. This charming ski resort with a myriad of colors hosts music festivals during the summer months. In a wilderness setting, we reach our authentic lodge.
DAY 4 –
Saguenay
340km
 – 5h00
"We're fortunate to have one of the most spectacular roads in Quebec," say the residents of Mauricie. Undoubtedly, over 110 km, the scenic route along the Saint-Maurice River is of rare beauty. We venture into the hinterland. The road leads us to Saguenay, a region that was at the heart of the industrial revolution at the beginning of the last century.
DAY 6 –
Rivière du Loup
190km
 – 3h30
This morning's road lives up to its name. "The Whale Route" is one of the oldest routes in the country, stretching over 1300 km. We partially follow it to reach Tadoussac, a small village of 800 people that welcomes hundreds of thousands of curious visitors every year, hoping to capture the acrobatic feats of a humpback whale or a fin whale on camera. A whale-watching cruise (optional) is planned, but the day will be punctuated by ferry schedules.
DAY 8 –
Caraquet
80km
 – 1h15
In a region that has had no official existence since the 1850s, the small town of Caraquet, with its population of about 4200, has nevertheless proclaimed itself the "capital of Acadia." Tens of thousands of Acadians come to celebrate their French-speaking presence and culture during the annual Acadian festival, which lasts for 15 days. The day will undoubtedly be filled with blue, white, red, and gold.
DAY 10 –
PERCE
100km
 – 1h30
In the Bay of Chaleurs, we continue along the Gaspesian coast to the former fishing village known for its pierced rock. Just a few dozen meters from the shore, like a massive ship, it seems to emerge from the Gulf of St. Lawrence. We'll enjoy our afternoon to explore one of the most beautiful villages in Quebec on our own or take a short cruise that will take us near the pierced rock and disembark on Bonaventure Island in the heart of a colony of Northern Gannets.
DAY 12 –
TROIS PISTOLES
280km
 – 4h30
We start our day by exploring a scientific complex offering numerous public activities centered around the theme of "the marine environment". With our newfound experiences, we continue on the Navigators' Route along the St. Lawrence River. From above, this route is rich in artistic and historical treasures, as well as small villages that deserve a few detours.
DAY 14 –
QUÉBEC
28km
 – 1h00
After our night in an indigenous setting, and just a few wheel turns away, we head to Montmorency Falls, which are twice as high as Niagara Falls. Whether viewed from above or below, they are fascinating and spectacular. To begin our return to Quebec City before noon, we will take the Chemin du Roy and spend the rest of our day freely in the heart of the Petit-Champlain district and on the Dufferin Terrace.
DAY 16 –
MONTREAL
160km
 – 4h00
It's just over an hour's drive separating us from Montreal, but the scenic route will grant us some final delights. Wine route, flavors route, more than enough to charm us, and even though it's off-season, we'll still carry the secrets of sugar shacks and maple groves in our luggage. The return to Montreal is a must via this mountain that Jacques Cartier considered royal back in 1535.
